As a Charity, Swanley Therapy Centre (Swanley Unit for Multiple Sclerosis), we remain committed to delivering safe and affordable charitable services for all who attend the centre. Safety for you and our staff has always been paramount in decisions we make. Additional new compliance regulations and general cost increases mean we now spend more time and money on providing our services to the standard we have set.
For the last couple of years, the Charity has been able to absorb cost increases thanks to friends, volunteers and donations; the prices have been held constant since 2012 despite increases of between 10-40 % for the maintenance, insurance, and operational costs. However, sharp increases in all these areas and new compliance rules between 2022-24 has forced us to reflect and revise our future pricing.
To meet the increased costs, please note that as of 7th January 2025 there will be a small price increase to Oxygen services and the annual membership will be increased immediately upon renewal to £30.
Our current registered charitable status has objectives set to meet the local needs and services for the MS community, but allows for access by a wider community that can benefit from the many services. Our new pricing structure will reflect this commitment. Our Oxygen treatment prices will therefore be £16 and £20 per session respectively for MS and non-MS users.
It is important that we continue to meet YOUR needs and we wish to support you in dealing with these changes. If you have any questions or should these changes cause any concerns, please get in touch by sending an email to, or arranging a chat at the centre with, Paul Dunn chair of the Trustees (also the centre Bowen Therapist). These difficult decisions have been made following Trustee and management team meetings and close examination of our financial position. Paul will consider any issues that arise and will work with the whole management team to enable your continued use of the services.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to continuing a positive supportive relationship with you in the future.
Sincerely
Paul Dunn (Chair of Trustees)
